Cedric Roux fe81d31ea3 compilation warnings fixes

The previous commit created two new warnings:

    warning: 'avgs' may be used uninitialized in this function
    warning: 'seq_index' may be used uninitialized in this function

This commit removes them.

Maybe it's not the correct solution. To be fixed if needed.
